Author Inga Oberst lives in Port Orchard, Wash. She has dreamed about writing a book since her childhood in Panama City, Fla. An instructional designer and adjunct instructor for Troy University, she earned a master's degree in Post Secondary Education (History) from TROY and completed additional graduate work at Saint Joseph College in Connecticut. She also holds a B.S. in Telecommunications (radio/TV broadcasting) and a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Florida. Prior to joining TROY, Oberst was an associate producer at CNN in Atlanta and an anchor/producer/reporter at television stations WMBB in Panama City, Fla, News 14 Carolina in Raleigh, NC, and WTVY in Dothan, Ala. Additionally, she taught junior high school English in Japan with the Japanese Exchange and Teaching Program (JET). Oberst has two young children, who helped inspired her to write a children's book about science. She has traveled the world and enjoys writing and photography.
