About the Author

Dr. Susano B. Tanael has contributed to publications of local and international peer reviewed medical journal articles. He was an attending physician at the Section of Medical Oncology, University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) in Manila. Dr. Tanael earned his Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the De La Salle University-Manila where the manuscript of Ambiguities of the Body was adjudged Outstanding Thesis. While writing his thesis, he also completed an online course on poetry writing at the London School of Journalism. After several years of patient care, he wrote the book as his first creative work. He hopes the discourse of the poems falls within the purview of Medical Humanities.
