Amanda Greenslade is an Australian writer and a parent who has worked with children in the syndrome mix of ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder - Asperger's and Sensory Processing Disorder (Sensory Integration Dysfunction). Her interaction with family counselors, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, inclusive education specialists and special needs teachers revealed that there was not a resource **for children** about the anger volcano concept. She created 'The Anger Volcano', a book for children who need some help managing their frustration and anger.
"A great, rhyming book for young children about how to deal with anger."--Biblio Filer (5 out of 5 stars)"A clever book that uses verses and illustrations. Enjoyable for children and as an example of quality illustrations. The poetic text can also stand on its own."--JD DeHart (5 out of 5 stars)This book "is for children aged 4-10 who have difficulty controlling their temper, with the idea that the rhymes used can be memorable for children and may cause them to stop and think before their anger 'explodes'. I think the idea behind this book is great, and the rhymes are nice and simple and very catchy. [It] can be coloured in and therefore may make a good distraction aid for children in times of anger and outbursts..."--Laura Hainsworth (4 out of 5 stars)
