Jonna Gjevre grew up on a sheep farm in northern Minnesota. Her first novel, Requiem in La Paz, was a finalist for the Colorado Gold Award. The New York Review of Science Fiction describes Gjevre as "an accomplished prose stylist whose language invariably rises to the occasion." A former academic, she has taught creative writing in Scotland and film studies in the United States. Cover artist Kathleen Jennings was raised on fairy tales in western Queensland. A three-time nominee for the World Fantasy Award, she has won several Ditmar awards. She lives in Brisbane, Australia.
