Grant Wattie is a New Zealand-based global coach and counselor, family and relationship therapist (who also specializes in executive leadership), and author of a series of books on personal and leadership transformation. During his 30+ year career, Grant's passion for life-long learning includes development in business management, executive coaching, counseling, leadership development, the arts and philosophy. His unique capabilities revolve around the ability to build relationships, develop creative solutions, and bring about sustained behavioral change. Grant trained as a family therapist for four years at the Family Centre Lower Hutt with Charles Waldegrave, an internationally recognized NGO. While working at Relationships Aotearoa, he was trained in multi-systemic family therapy and couples therapy, including emotionally focused therapy. In addition, Grant furthered his professional skills studying with Dr. Carlos Raimundo (Psychiatrist and Corporate Coach) of Neuro-learning. He also attended workshops in constellations, interactive drawing techniques, and the Play of Life (TM) 3d coaching simulation methodology. Over the years Grant gained a highly-developed intuitive understanding while engaging with reluctant participants, and working in creative ways to achieve change (i.e., using visual techniques in a relaxed, friendly and authentic manner). While working with various agencies, he delivered services covering workplace stress; trauma; conflict resolution and mediation; communication; performance; bullying; anger; team building and team types. He also worked with senior executives on stress management, performance, team dynamics, interpersonal conflict and communication. Because of his eclectic intuitive style underpinned with a person-centered, solution-focused methodology, Grant builds strong alliances with clients to provide appropriate therapeutic solutions.
