Everyone loves asterix. Its about a guy caled asterix who is a bit small but helps his people (thee gauls) resist the roman occupation of his land with the help of a funny little wizard and his fat friend obelix. There are heaps of asterix books out there and if you love comics, youl love asterix! Its best for children aged 7-14

This has always been one of my favourite Asterix books as the representation of the Brits within is particularly funny, with digs at gardening (sorry), the food, their views on how to drink beer and, of course, rugby. As usual there is an abundance of puns and linguistic jokes for those with a smattering of Latin, but the adventure itself is also very entertaining. A great little book.
