About the Author

Allyson Gofton has been cooking for New Zealanders for over 20 years. During her varied career she has worked at the NZ Woman's Weekly's Test Kitchens, assisted Graham Kerr both here and abroad, and became the Principal of Epicurean Workshop and Chief Executive Officer of the New Zealand Nutrition Foundation. She was also Food Editor for Next magazine for many years and is now Editor of Real. Allyson has authored 18 cookbooks. Allyson recently published with Penguin the best-selling After Work Cookbook.

This is a beautiful book, the introduction is lovely, the photos represent a charm that is truly divineness itself. I bought this for Mothers Day but I will be buying another copy for myself. There is good advise at the start, and excellent recipes that you will actually make. The old favorites stay the old favorites, and you don;t need to break the bank going out to find ingredients you will only use once. This is sure to be a classic baking book that you will turn to again and again. For the novice baker there is plenty of advice and wisdom contained within, I recommend it for introductory and experienced bakers alike. This book is a stunning creation!!!!

I have just received this book and I am totally wrapped in it. It is well presented and beautifully illustrated. Cant wait to try every recipe.

This is a great book and well worth the money. Lots of tips and ways to vary the recipe. I brought this for use with my students in my food technology room and after using it a few time want to buy another copy for myself

I use this book all the time! It has all the old favourites and some nice twists to jazz up other recipes. Usually all ingredients can be found in your pantry - a good everyday kiwi baking book. Even my kids use it. Love love love it.

This is a fantastic book. Beautifully presented and illustrated, the recipes are simple to follow and delicious, and there are plenty of practical baking tips throughout. It will get plenty of use in my kitchen. I highly recommend it.
