About the Author

Alex Mitchell studied at the Chelsea Physic Garden and writes regularly for magazines and newspapers, including the Sunday Telegraph and Gardener's World magazine. She is the author of The Rurbanite (2013) and The Edible Balcony (2010), both published by Kyle Books.

A completely new kind of gardening book, "Beginner's Garden" is especially ideal for first-timers who have busy working lives but still want to grow their own produce -- without spending all weekend digging! Profusely illustrated and thoroughly 'user friendly' in organization and presentation, "Beginner's Garden" will prove to be an enormously popular and appreciated addition to personal and community library Gardening & Horticulture instructional reference collections.
