After earning her M.A. in Counseling through Dallas Baptist University in 2009, Stephanie interned under Dr. Carol Doss at the Family Counseling Center in Fort Worth. She counts among her greatest professional achievements the opportunity to blog for the American Counseling Association, being named on the 2011 "Not Most People" list by author David P. Diana and having the privilege of running the Beginning Counselor social networking website. (www.beginningcounselor.webs.com) In 2011 she relocated to College Station, TX, and started her own e-therapy business, Beginnings Counseling & Consulting, at www.stephanieadamslpc.com. In addition to her online counseling and beginning counselor coaching, Stephanie develops continuing education courses for allceus.com and provides online therapy on a contract basis for other e-counseling sites. This is her first book. Having earned a Ph.D. in counseling, Carol works at a community agency as the Clinical Director and carries a caseload of her own clients. She is currently supervising several counselors working toward achieving licensure as Professional Counselors. She also writes a weekly advice column for the counseling center's website, www.family-counseling.org, addressing a wide variety of topics relating to human relationships. Married since 1978 to another therapist, Carol has two adult daughters. In 2010, her book, Should I Leave Him? was published by Adams Media, ISBN 978-1598699692. Carol shares this about her life: "All my significant personal endeavors-grad school, marriage, parenting and writing-have taught me that perseverance and hard work add up to success."
