Lisa is an award-winning author, mother of three, and trauma survivor living in New Zealand. As a young-adult novelist, Lisa incorporates the themes of media-awareness, maturity and healthy sexuality into her stories. As a non-fiction author she writes on issues related to women's/children's healing from sexual addiction and betrayal. Lisa and her husband, Michael facilitate sex-addiction-related support groups in New Zealand. They also speak to youth groups about healthy sexuality, and to Christian organisations about sexual addiction and partner trauma. In 2016, Lisa and Michael became certified pastoral sex addiction specialists (International Association of Sex Addiction Specialists) and Lisa is also a trained support group facilitator. She shares the results of her research, relevant resources, and thoughts about the journey at Beyond Betrayal Community: www.beyondbetrayal.community
"What an amazing resource for husbands and wives to use together on their journey from betrayal toward healing. Lisa uses truth and grace to speak directly to men about what they can do (and not do) to help in their wives' healing. In addition, she gives women guidance, direction, encouragement and validation. You won't feel like a clinician is guiding you through the material, but rather a trusted friend that is a few steps ahead on the journey." - Shelley Martinkus (author of Rescued) and Jason Martinkus (author of Worthy of her Trust)
