Prof P S Kalsi is a Visiting Professor of Chemistry, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi, former Dean of Colleges, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and Head, Deptt. of Chemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, India. He obtained his PhD degree from Pune University, Pune. He has published over 138 research papers in several journals of repute. Prof Kalsi was invited by the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences to submit proposals for the award of the Nobel Prize for Chemistry, 1985. Prof Kalsi has delivered plenary/invited lectures at various International symposia. Currently, he is actively involved in postgraduate teaching in different universities/PG colleges. He has widely travelled abroad on academic missions and is a fellow/member of several international professional societies. Dr Nivedita Mahanta is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry, J B Govt. College, Jorhat (Assam), India. She obtained her M Phil degree in environmental sciences followed by PhD degree working on electron transfer reactions across charged membranes. Her current research interests are in the area of biophysical chemistry.
