About the Author

Rosie Schmidt, who lives in Oklahoma, renewed an interest in drawing and taught herself the art of pencil drawing. She inspired the story of Blackeye by developing the story line and drawing pictures to go along with it. Gloria Morse also lives in Oklahoma and taught special education for eighteen years. She worked with children from 4 years of age through high school. She loves writing and spends time in this activity, in community volunteer activities and substituting as a librarian as needed.
