About the Author

Faythe A. Missick is a New York born, Chicago raised first time author. She holds a M.A. in International/Comparative Politics and a B.S. in Political Science from Eastern Illinois University. As a trained African Dance teacher, she passionately possesses an interest in cultural education. Most of her research has looked at Caribbean and African affairs, specifically developing countries. At the age of 25, she always knew she wanted to do something that would have a positive impact on the lives of others. Her book, BlkGIrlNChina is just at the beginning of that vision.
