Maureen Larter lives on 15 acres on the North Coast of N.S.W. Australia with her son's family. Her daughter lives in Ballina further away. She has four young grandchildren, two girls and two boys. She enjoys gardening in her large vegetable garden and looking after her animals, which include chickens for eggs, bees for honey and her house cows for milk. She is a retired English teacher, but still teaches piano and violin and writes her books as a way of keeping herself challenged and busy.
