"I guess it had gone okay with Stevie Rae. I mean, she had agreed to meet me tomorrow. And she hadn't tried to bite me, which was a plus. Of course, the whole trying-to-eat-the-street-person thing was highly disturbing ..." Zoey's best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead - in an eww! zombie! kind-of-way, not in a cool vampire kind-of-way. She's struggling to retain her humanity and Zoey doesn't have a clue how to help. But she does know that anything they discover must be kept secret. Trust has become a rare commodity. Sinister forces are at work at the House of Night, where the line between friend and enemy is becoming dangerously blurred. - Not suitable for younger readers -

Gr 10 Up-This installment picks up exactly where Betrayed (St. Martin's, 2007) left off. Zoey Redbird, leader of the Dark Daughters and vampyre fledgling extraordinaire, has discovered some mysterious and disturbing events occurring at her vampyre finishing school. Her ex-roommate and best friend, Stevie Rae, is "undead" and only due to Zoey's love and belief that she still possesses some humanity has Stevie Rae not become a true monster. Zoey must quickly find a way to reverse what has been done to her before it is too late. To complicate matters, Zoey is forced to keep this a secret from her friends and has been betrayed by her mentor and advisor, Neferet. Zoey knows that Neferet is behind the creation of these "undead" creatures and is not at all what she seems. For help, she turns to her rival, Aphrodite, who becomes her confidante and partner in crime. Horror strikes the House of Night when two professors end up brutally murdered. Cast takes the series up a notch with this installment, and readers will be on the edge of their seats waiting for its continuation. This book is a must for any library with a vampire following-but it does contain explicit language and sexual situations.-Donna Rosenblum, Floral Park Memorial High School, NY Copyright 2008 Reed Business Information.

This is the third book in the "House of Night" series, written by PC Cast and her daughter Kirstin Cast.
Again the third book picks up where the second book (betrayed) leaves off, which is great I love it when the story just continues like that. While I did love the book as I have with the others I don't understand why the author had to tell us the story again, its book 3 nobody starts reading a series at book 3 so that means we know everything we've read it all before we don't need to read it again.
Also a tip to parents that this isn't a G or PG rated book, it does contain sex so if you don't want your child reading about that then don't get them this book.

Even if you're already a fan of this series - which really is the worst representation of Vampire YA fiction out there - Chosen will still be a disappointment! I, for one, was stunned (not in a good way) by Marked, blown away (definantly in a good way) by Betrayed - and then I wanted to burn Chosen.

Seriously.

This was by far my least favourite book. It put the series on hold for me, and I likely would not have continued had it not been for the fact that I had already bought the rest of the series after reading Betrayed. I have to say, the books do return to the mediocre-yet-addicting quality of Betrayed... but you have to get past this thing first.

What made this book so bad was the unimaginable stupidity of Zoey. Along with this stupidity came the extraordinary stupidity of her friends - all of whom failed to realise that they were equally as dumb. In fact, the only one with any sense at all was Aphrodite... but of course no one listened to her because she is such a "poo-head."

Bottom line? Read the a summary of the book on-line and then skip ahead to Untamed.

Chosen which is the third book to the fabulous House of Night series by P.C and Kristen Cast, I highly enjoyed this book and it's charaters which the mother annd daughter have thought up and i believe that if you got far enough to read this then you will enjoy it as well. I can highly reccomend this book to anyone who is a teenager plus. Five out of five stars brilliant.

If you like the Twilight series, you will definitely like this series.

In fact, I think it's better. It's another take on the whole vampire thing.

When a person gets marked, they go to the Hous of Night, which is a school for vampire fledgelings.

It's about Zoey and her experiences at the House of Night.

I can't wait for the next book.
