Maxine McKew is an Honorary Fellow of the Melbourne Graduate School of Education at the University of Melbourne. At the 2007 federal election she defeated sitting prime minister John Howard in the seat of Bennelong. Before entering politics Maxine was a respected award-winning journalist.
