Reviews

"In particular, they demonstrate how our increasing understandingof the mechanisms underlying the common association of manycomorbidities is helping us to understand the natural history ofthese conditions and improve our management of them." (News Blaze,15 March 2011) The book Comorbidities in Developmental Disordersis a substantial and timely contribution to the discussion of thewidely recognized, but underexplored area of coexisting conditionsin childhood neurodisability. (International Journal ofDisability, Development and Education, 2011) This book is very useful for physicians who care forchildren with developmental disorders. It offers a clearexplanation of the disorders as well as an understanding of themany associated co-morbidities. (Doody's, 2011) The book certainly has its practical value to the childneurologist in discussion of comorbidity in disorders more commonlyseen. Its greater value may be provoking thought about the subtlebut important complexities in the disorder less commonlyappreciated. (Journal of Child Neurology, 2011) When you face a child who manifests seemingly multipledisabilities, which is the rule rather than the exception, thisbook will be an invaluable tool for your knowledge, reflection, andaction." (International Journal of Disability, Community andRehabilitation, 2011) The book should be useful to learners in all stages oftraining, but particularly for those pursuing a career indevelopmental disabilities. (Developmental Medicine andChild Neurology, 2011)
