Barbara Anne Morey said her ambition as a young child was to be able to cook and entertain the way her Aunt Ocie did. Her mother also was a great cook, as were her grandmother and her sister-who both won many prizes for their cakes, relishes, and pies at state fairs in Kansas and Oklahoma. On the professional side, Barbara has worked as a staff writer/editor for several large corporations. "I always enjoyed what I did so much that I was afraid someone would find out they were paying me to have fun," she said. "Now I'm having a great time, combining my love of cooking with my love of writing."
