Ordained as an Anglican priest in 1963, Peter Stuart has a Masters in Theology from Trinity College, Oxford, and in History from the University of NZ. He has served as university chaplain, parish priest, and Canon Theologian, and in his nominal retirement continues to work and travel widely. Tramping, still loved, has become circumscribed, but music, literature and art continue to be a big part of his life. Peter works with local churches in their care for the environment, and supports lay people drawn to the Cistercian spirituality lived at Southern Star Abbey, Kopua. He lives with his researcher/writer wife, Julia, in Eastbourne. This is his first collection of poetry.
