About the Author

Dr. John Cook is the founder of the award-winning website SkepticalScience.com, which receives over 300,000 visitors each month and has been featured on CNN, HBO, MSNBC, and in the New York Times and Washington Post. Cook earned a physics degree from the University of Queensland and worked as a graphic designer and cartoonist for over a decade before obtaining his PhD in Cognitive Psychology from the University of Western Australia. Cook developed a Massive Open Online Course, Making Sense of Climate Science Denial, which has had over 30,000 enrolments from over 160 countries. He is currently Research Assistant Professor at George Mason University in Virginia.
