Light Yagami is an ace student with great prospects--and he's bored out of his mind. But all that changes when he finds the Death Note, a notebook dropped by a rogue Shinigami death god. Any human whose name is written in the notebook dies, and now Light has vowed to use the power of the Death Note to rid the world of evil. But when criminals begin dropping dead, the authorities send the legendary detective L to track down the killer. With L hot on his heels, will Light lose sight of his noble goal...or his life?

A good addition to the first volume of Death Note. It's a very interesting concept, but one I'm certain that many others have written about. It is disappointing that Naomi was written out, though. That would have been something to hang on to and follow. I'm not the type of person to go and presume, though, that this is due to misogyny or what have you.

Having seen most of the movie I know how this part of the manga is going, but it's nice to see the original copy.

Death Note is the greatest series ever! The live action films, the graphic novels and the anime tv episodes.. They're all brilliant. The story line is so original and interesting. I could sit these for days and watch the anime or read the books. Can't speak highly enough of the series. Definitely worth checking out! For boys or girls aged 15+ :D
