A PhD in English and American literature, Frank Rogers has written five scholarly books and edited three volumes of Mark Twain's writings, all published by major US and UK university presses. As a university professor, he has taught in the US, Europe, and Japan. A long-time student of the history and civilization of India, he has lived and traveled extensively in that country, visiting the sites that figure in his stories, studying the people, their customs, and their lore. Penguin Books-India (New Delhi) published his first novel, When the Fight Was Done in 2002. Dewdrop on the Lotus is his second novel. A disabled veteran of World War II, he lives with his wife in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Los Gatos, California.
