Judy Ambrose James, a lifelong resident of Pass Christian, Ms., is a mother of three daughters, and a grandmother of four darling girls. "They are the reasons why I smile." In 2007 Judy had a massive stroke that left her mentally and physically disabled. Soon after the stroke, she was put on disability. There were many days during which she had to borrow a smile from, family, friends and some very kind strangers. There is an unfilled void in her life. As she puts it, "Her lost independence." Through faith and a lot of rehab her body and mind began a mending process, but in 2016 she had a accident while at home. Ending result -A Subdural Hematoma. The surgeon had to operate twice to stop the bleeding and he finally called code blue causing her to remain in a coma for four days. When she woke up her writers block was gone and she looked at the world differently. "I will not be defined by limitations." She shouts out for all to hear. Judy has engaged in writing her first book seeking a publisher or agent, finding none to respond, she has self-published the message she wants everyone to read. All though, a book of fiction she had drawn from her personal experience for her first book entitled, "A Dose of Reality."
