Laurika Bretherton is a writer, artist and energy worker. A South African by birth, she's lived in Namibia, Sweden, USA and the UK. She's a world nomad who travels and lives where her soul feels at home. Her love for life increases exponentially when she walks, take random buses and read about people who are a little different. Patti Smith, Frida Kahlo and Keith Richards are her guides. She spends whole days staring out the window of a bus watching the world go by, or walking through small towns where time stood still, down dusty country lanes, at the edge of wild foamy oceans or in silent forests where the trees are the only witnesses to her passing. Over the years she's performed a great many jobs. A shortlist includes: making fudge in her mom's kitchen, communications manager at tech companies, meditation and energy healing teacher, cleaning dog cages at a humane society, newspaper features editor, volunteering at a suicide helpline, offering emotional support at a London prison, selling make-up in a department store, dog and house sitting, and the one she is extremely proud of, a bunny girl at a casino.
