About the Author

Dr. Eric "Rick" Mansfield is a retired educator, syndicated columnist, professional storyteller, volunteer preacher and avid outdoorsmen who resides on his organic farm with wife Judy and dogs Big D (a ninety-pound bluetick coonhound) and Dharma (a miniatrure bluetick beagle). Rick runs the non-profit Ozark Heritage Project and Stewards of teh Ozarks which annually hosts river clean-ups, historical presentations and is currently working to preserve two different historic structures.
