Cynthia Taylor is a Chicago-area native who has always enjoyed telling stories to her children and her niece and nephews. She and her niece Lauren decided to write down a story they had come up with one summer day during a lunch date. And so, the story of Emma, Jack and the Princess was created. Cynthia lives in Chicago with her husband. Her three children, including her younger son who was the model for Jack and her daughter who was the model for Emma, are all on their own. Lauren Nesher was six years old when she enjoyed a summer lunch out with her aunt. Looking up at the ceiling she noticed a huge chandelier and wondered what it would be like to hang from it. She also wondered what it would be like to throw all her lunch dishes to the ground and not get in trouble. Their conversation provided humorous material for the character of the princess in their book. Lauren is currently attending Middle School. She loves dancing and spending time with her aunt.
