Hillel Mazansky, MD, is a doctor who balances integrative and holistic approaches to the treatment of illness and health management. Dr. Mazansky experienced traditional medicine's limitations firsthand when he was undergoing chemotherapy treatment for cancer. While enduring the wrenching side effects, he was offered hope in the form of medical hypnosis. He gave it a try, and after two sessions, he felt dramatically improved and greatly empowered by participating in his own healing. Mazansky has been a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and served as the chairman of the Cleveland Academy of Family Physicians, chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Cleveland's Huron Road Hospital, district director of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, and director of the Physicians Division of the Jewish Federation in Cleveland, Ohio. He currently lives with his wife in La Jolla, California, where he practices medical hypnosis, guided imagery, nutrition, and exercise.
