About the Author

I-Hsien Wu is an assistant professor of Asian Studies in the Department of Classical and Modern Languages and Literatures at The City College of New York, CUNY. She holds a PhD and an MA in premodern Chinese literature from Columbia University, and a BA in musicology from Boston University. Dr. Wu is a contributor to the MLA volume Approaches to Teaching The Story of the Stone (Dream of the Red Chamber) and has published in journals such as Ming Qing Studies. Her research focuses on late-imperial Chinese literature and its interaction with modern media.
