Renee Fogorty is a young Wiradjuri woman from the Lachlan River region of New South Wales. Renee started her writing and illustrating career at Rooty Hill High School. What began as a Year 12 project on a subject close to Renee s heart turned into an important resource for the home and classroom about racism being painful and common amongst children today.
Fair Skin Black Fella is a story that needs to be heard and Renee Fogorty has told it in such a way that children will want to sit up and listen. --Marjorie Coughlan, PaperTigers
