Farhana Sahibzada is originally from Lahore, Pakistan. She is the noted chef and owner of cinnamon STIX, a cafe and catering business she established and operated in Woodland Hills, California. Farhana has been teaching Indian/Pakistani cooking for over 20 years in southern California and internationally. In addition to teaching classes at her cafe she has taught cooking classes for Pierce College, Gelson's super Markets, Williams Sonoma, Whole Foods Markets, Let's get Cookin' in Westlake Village, The culinary art's college at the Art's Institute in Santa Monica California (where she is a regular visiting guest chef and instructor), Southern California's Culinary Institute in South Pasadena, (currently: Le Cordon Bleu), The New School of Cooking in Culver City, city parks and recreation facilities, museums and many other local cooking schools and gourmet food markets. Her classes focus on simplifying the art of Indian cooking and offer simple and quick versions for classic and popular recipes of the Indian/Pakistani cuisine. Emerging as an acclaimed authority on Indian and Pakistani cuisine, Farhana is often invited for cooking demonstrations, classes and food talks by prominent culinary organizations, broadcast media and social cooking clubs around Los Angeles. Her cooking show, 'Cooking with Farhana' produced at Time Warner Cable has aired in Los Angeles with strong following and zest. Farhana's cooking classes have been voted 'A Top Event' in L A Weekly in The Best of Los Angeles."
