'I found it extremely good and extremely up to date. Quite the best thing on aid and international institutional issues I have recently read.' - Professor Sir Richard Jolly, Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, UK 'The Future of Development Financing is remarkable in effortlessly sifting through the complexities of today's global development architecture, and in combining vision with pragmatism in its approach. This will be a standard reference for anyone who is interested in realistic options for reforming the current system, and for all interested in international development.' - Dr. Roy Culpeper, President, North-South Institute, Canada 'If anyone ever tried to create a 'system' for development finance, it would certainly not look like the one we have today. This book takes a fresh and comprehensive look at agents, organizations and financing mechanisms within this field, with a view towards the future. But its worst-case scenario looks all too familiar! This should be a stern call for politicians and bureaucrats to act now.' - Ruth Jacoby, Director-General for International Development Cooperation, Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs
