Marshall S. Ball, whose physical symptoms mirror cerebral palsy, defied doctors who said he would not live to his tenth birthday. Since the age of five, he has communicated by pointing to letters on an alphabet board. It was by this means that he wrote the bestseller Kiss of God at the age of twelve. Home-schooled by his devoted parents and deeply loved by his brothers, Marshall lives with his family in Austin, Texas.
