James R. McCormick earned a bachelor's degree from Millsaps College, a master of divinity degree from Candler School of Theology, and a doctor of religion degree from the School of Theology at Claremont. He then dedicated his career to the ministry, serving congregations in Georgia, Mississippi, Arizona, and California. After having written and preached for over fifty years, McCormick finally retired in Cumming, Georgia.
Having also worked as an adjunct professor at Fuller Theological Seminary and the School of Theology at Claremont, McCormick is also an established author. His works include Welcome Home, Tell It Like It Can Be, Marriage Is for Adults, Does It Look and Sound Like Jesus?, and his latest, The Gospel Goes to Broadway.
McCormick currently lives with his wife, Patricia. They have two children and four grandchildren.![]() |
