Marketing Plan:
Mechlinski and his dedicated team are committed to the long-term
success of Shift The Work. Together, they have built a launch
strategy that extends far beyond the first year of the release.
They will offer a bulk ordering promotion to include bonus
incentives for purchasing tiered copies of the book from five
copies to 1,000 copies. They will obtain endorsements from up to
fifty CEOs who have explored the science of the head, heart, and
gut within their company and distribute their endorsement with the
book to their team and mailing list (pay for the books, they handle
fulfillment). They will promote using SHIFT’s email list of 4,000+
subscribers, based on existing connections with these individuals
who’ve opted in to hear from them. They will drive $10,000 of
targeted paid advertising on Facebook and LinkedIn to Mechlinski’s
book sales web page. Mechlinski is a member of several outstanding
business groups that have offered to promote the release of Shift
The Work within their respective communities of no less than 2,000
contacts each, thereby reaching 100,000 people. Also, Mechlinski’s
company is hiring a public relations company to focus on promoting
the book locally and regionally and establishing strategic
partnerships within the community.
Mechlinski plans to host a launch party and book signing event in
each city where he has a SHIFT office: Baltimore, Washington DC,
Boston, Seattle. Mechlinski also intends to promote his book on his
new podcast, Shift Happens. Additionally, he will leverage existing
relationships with local publishers to place ads, contribute to
columns, and offer promotional items. Mechlinski has business
relationships with Forbes and Inc. Magazines, CityBizList &
Warfield Digital Baltimore, Washington, SmartCEO, Ian Altman,
Conscious Company, and Insights that will help further his book’s
promotion. Furthermore, he is an experienced public speaker, has a
Facebook following of 7,077, LinkedIn following of 7,523, and an
email following of 4,500 which will all be helpful with future book
promotions.
