"Sensitive and stately...a moving conclusion to Woolley's Queen Guinevere trilogy." -- Sacramento Bee Surrounded by traitors, trapped by destiny, Britain's spirited Queen Guinevere sees that the greatest dangers to Arthur's crown may lie within the walls of Camelot. An undeniable spark ignites between Guinevere and Lancelot, but a powerful enemy puts the Queen's loyalty to the ultimate test. As the heroes of the Round Table undertake the Quest for the Holy Grail, Guinevere's heartbreaking honesty, courage, and integrity will be challenged by those she loves most. Praise for Persia Woolley's Guinevere Trilogy: "Original...rich and sweet." -- New York Times "Vivid...dramatic...once again we are captivated by the magic of the legend that has long fed our appetite for pageantry and romantic adventure." -- Washington Post "Told from the viewpoint of Arthur's queen, Guinevere ...an absorbing portrait of the Arthurian age." -- San Francisco Chronicle "An engrossing and satisfying addition to the canon." -- Publishers Weekly

Reviews

"."..a terrific finish to the legend of Camelot through the eyes of an alleged betrayer... The cast is solid as the knights come to life, but like its predecessors (see Child of the Northern Spring and Queen of the Summer Stars); the telling of the legend comes from the unique filter of the pagan Queen..." - Midwest Book Review" - Midwest Book Review ""What I loved about Guinevere, the Legend in Autumn was that the story was believable. This is not a fanciful, whimsical fairy tale or legend. Persia Woolley wrote a highly engaging story that provides explanation for the discord in King Arthur's family and the blood feuds that constantly simmer under the surface of a refined Camelot." - Book Savvy Babe" - Book Savvy Babe ""I have always loved the mythology and legend of King Arthur and his men, but Persia Woolley's portrayal of these people made me love them even more. Every character was so much more humanly relatable that I couldn't help but love them, faults and all. I really felt for Guinevere as she was thrust into marriage and monarchy. All three books are must reads and will keep fans up long into the night." - Luxury Reading" - Luxury Reading .".".I love reading tales of Arthurian legend and this trilogy is among the best I've read. I'll admit that I even love it better than my other favorites, Mary Stewart's Merlin series and The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I love that the series tells the legend from Guinevere's point of view."" - Laura's Reviews ""Guinevere, The Legend in Autumn is the final book in Persia Woolley's sweeping trilogy featuring King Arthur's legendary queen. Woolley constantly surprises with her in depth knowledge of the time period and the players that readers have loved for ages. She brings new life to Queen Guinevere and shows Arthur and Lancelot in a new light. With impeccably researched historical accuracy Woolley weaves a tale that is somewhat different from the tales and legends we've all heard before, making this novel seem fresh and original despite the beloved subject matter."" - Deb's Book Bag .".".a terrific finish to the legend of Camelot through the eyes of an alleged betrayer... The cast is solid as the knights come to life, but like its predecessors (see Child of the Northern Spring and Queen of the Summer Stars); the telling of the legend comes from the unique filter of the pagan Queen..."" - Midwest Book Review ""The third Guinevere trilogy is a terrific finish to the legend of Camelot...the telling of the legend comes from the unique filter of the pagan Queen..."" - Genre Go Round

This is the final book in a beautifully characterised trilogy. I admit openly that I have loved reading this series! For anyone who likes the Arthurian legends then this trilogy will certainly more than satisfy. I was 1st recommended this trilogy by my librarian who suggested that if I like Arthuruan Legends then I should give these a try. They had to pull the books out of storage as they are quite old. I have reread them countless times and unfortunetly lent them to someone and is so often the case with books that are cherished, I never got them back. Guinievere is portrayed as a truly human Queen and I fell in love with her. The love triangle is sensitively reworked into something I could actually imagine happening, without hating her! All the characters are realistic. I highly recomend all three books.
