About the Author

Jerónimo Delgado-Caicedo, PhD– PhD in Geography at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. MA in International Relations at a joint programme between the Colombian Diplomatic Academy, the Universidad Externado de Colombia and the Université de París IV París-Sorbonne. BA in Government and International Relations at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. Director of the Observatory for the Analysis of International Systems (OASIS) at the Universidad Externado de Colombia and the general editor of the Journal OASIS. He is the Secretary-General of the Latin American Association for Asian and African Studies (ALADAA) and a founding member of the Latin American Network of Africanists (REDAAL).
