Richard L. Towers held a variety of positions during his long career in public education, including classroom teacher, high school principal, and assistant superintendent of schools. Dr. Towers also held teaching and administrative posts at the university level and worked as an educational consultant in the U.S. and abroad. In addition to HANSON'S MARINER, he is the author of two non-fiction books on drug and alcohol abuse.
