HANNAH DALE has her own successful company, Wrendale Designs, that started on a crowded farmhouse kitchen table. With an eclectic background in art, biology and the London Stock Exchange, Hannah started painting hares when she and her husband had their baby, because she was drawn to their expressive faces; a trait she captures perfectly in this, her first book.
'This beautifully illustrated picture book has a surprise at the
end which will delight young readers. A wonderfully rhythmic text
has the repetition that children love and it is a fabulous
read-aloud, giving the opportunity to bring in plenty of voices and
actions.'

'If ever a book could be judged by its cover this is it...glorious
watercolour and wash... Rhyme, movement and earthy colours add to
the sense of fun for the reader'
*Irish Examiner*
'Hannah Dale’s beautiful and
realistic watercolour paintings capture so well the
growing alarm that seizes the animals until all is finally
revealed...in a glorious culmination that will melt your heart... A
captivating read aloud treat.'
*Red Reading Hub*
'Hannah's paintings are just so beautiful... The story builds to a
rather satisfying crescendo, and then a neat twist of an ending
that made us smile... Pitch perfect rhymes throughout... This is
the sort of book I'd always flock to when I was a little one, a
lovely animal story with quite a cool twist or two...best
bit: The warm snuggly cuddly ending.'
