About the Author

TamikaB. was born Tamika Yvette Benbow. She was raised in Washington, DC, where she lived until her family relocated to Maryland when she was a teenager. She attended both DC and PG County Public School Systems. After graduating from High School she immediately began her career. Tamika contracted to the federal government for fifteen years and received a prestigious award for her hard work and dedication. During that time, she studied criminal justice and business law at UMUC.

TamikaB. is the single mother of five beautiful children who inspire and motivate her daily. She is also a survivor of lupus (a severe autoimmune disorder.)
