Carol Cannon's dream of becoming an author began when she was in fifth grade with the encouragement of her teacher and father. When she retired after thirty years of teaching, she decided it was time to pursue that dream. Carol began her Kerry Series with Forgiveness. Hope is the second book in the series. Two more books will follow to complete the series. Each book focuses on one of the four main characters: Layne, Nona, Dixie, and Betty Jo.Carol grew up on a farm near the small town of New Market, Indiana with two sisters and three brothers. She left the farm to attend Manchester College where she met and fell in love with her husband, David. They married and had three wonderful children, who have given them seven precious grandchildren.Carol has loved living in the Hawkinsville, Georgia, area for the past forty years with her husband in the log-home that they, along with their children, built from the ground up. She thanks God every day for her many blessings of family and friends.
Carol Cannon is now one of my favorite authors. Her writing is true
skill that is so realistic. The characters are well-developed and
relatable--even those you care less for--and the life experiences
are believable. This series is a joy to read. The Fearsome Foursome
are absolutely lovable. We all should have such Christ-centered
friends that really care about one another. Every storyline in this
series is something we all can be touched by a terrible accident,
loss of a loved one, sickness of an elderly parent, a misbehaving
adult child, and so on. I would recommend this author and series to
those who enjoy clean writing with deep passion and well-worked
plots.
Hope does a great job of continuing the Kerry Series. Character
development and storyline flows well from the first book and the
voice of the author carries through too. That being said, the story
and background is developed well enough that it could stand alone
as its own book.
I loved the first book in the Kerry series; 'Forgiveness' . I
just finished reading 'Hope', the second book in the series. It is
every bit as good as the first. This book is about Nona, one of the
fearsome four best friends. Her life takes on a lot of twists and
turns that keeps you turning pages, but you hate to finish because
you may not find another good book to read. I hope Carol finishes
the third book soon.
Carol Cannon is able to write in such a manner as to evoke
memories of the feelings one had at the time of going through their
own life's experiences. Her character development and style of
writing gives the reader four new best friends... and makes one
want to call Layne, Dixie, Bettie Jo, and Nona to come over and
have a glass of wine. Once again, this author had me feeling the
entire range of emotions. I highly recommend you read Carol
Cannon.
