Renowned car designer Thom Taylor is an inductee into the Hot Rod
Magazine Hall of Fame and has designed cars for industry-leading
builders such as Boyd Coddington and Roy Brizio, for SO-CAL Speed
Shop, and for individuals such as rocker Eric Clapton, actor Tim
Allen, and ZZ Top front man Billy F Gibbons. Thom has also had
signature die-cast lines with manufacturers Racing Champions/Ertl,
Revell, and Testors. Thom is the author of Motorbooks How to Draw
Cars Like a Pro and How to Draw Choppers Like a Pro. He lives in
Southern California.
Ed Newton began working at Roth Studios in the early 1960s after
leaving the Art Center College of Design. Newt has designed a
number of show cars over the years, including many of Big Daddy
Roths feature cars, bikes, model kits, and most of his early
T-shirts. In 1999, Mattel marketed a set of collectibles called Ed
Newtons Lowboyz. Newt today lives in Dublin, Ohio.
