"Elizabeth is envious of all the attention her bedridden brother receives while she must go to school, do her chores, etc. Of course, when she comes down with same illness a few days later, she finds it isn't quite so glamorous as she thought. Aliki's lively pictures turn a routine set-up into just what the doctor ordered." --School Library Journal "A common experience, told in simple text, is delightfully pictured." --The Horn Book "Human families with their own Edwards and Elizabeths will enjoy the characterization." --Kirkus Reviews "This one is bound to be a favorite among the very young." --Children's Book Review Service
