About the Author
Bernard Ireland has spent his working life with the Royal Naval Scientific Service, and has written 30 books on maritime technological and historical subjects. Francis Crosby led the marketing department at the Imperial War Museum's branch at Duxford, England, and has written extensively on historic aviation.
