An assassin with a mission. But whose side is he on? This first action-packed thriller in the bestselling Will Robie series, from one of the world’s most popular authors.
David Baldacci made a big splash on the literary scene with the publication of his first novel, Absolute Power, in 1996. A major motion picture adaptation followed, with Clint Eastwood as its director and star. Baldacci has since published more than 50 novels to date, all of which have been national and international bestsellers; several have been adapted for film and television. His novels have been translated into more than 45 languages and sold in more than 80 countries; over 110 million copies are in print worldwide. Baldacci has also published more than seven novels for children. Baldacci and his family live in Virginia. Ron McLarty began his career in theatre during the early 1970s. Although he enjoyed a successful career as an actor, he didn't have much luck finding a publisher for his novel The Memory of Running, until Stephen King happened upon an audiobook version (narrated by McLarty himself), and praised it as 'the best book you can't read'. This led to the book's publication, and its rapid rise to bestseller status. McLarty is an accomplished narrator – besides Running, he has provided the narration for a number of audiobooks, including Hunter S. Thompson's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Decision Points by George W. Bush. Orlagh Cassidy began her career at age 14 working at The Shakespeare Theatre at The Folger in Washington DC. She has performed on Broadway many times, including a lead role in Noel Cowards’s Present Laughter with Frank Langella as well as covering Marcia Gay Harden and Hope Davis in the production of Yasmina Reza’s God of Carnage. She is the award-winning voice of many audiobooks as well as television and radio commercials.

unexpected empathy and subtle identification.'
*Sunday Express*
'Forget Fifty Shades of Grey – the page-turner of the season is The
Innocent by David Baldacci ... The reader wants for nothing: there
are car chases and shootouts, snipers and moles, safe houses and
digestible bio-transmitters ... The tale starts at a blistering
rate and accelerates through 100 short action-packed chapters ...
this is Baldacci back at his best.'
