Clark Beim-Esche earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwestern University. During his over 40 years of teaching College, Secondary School, and Lifelong Learning classes, Clark has presented courses on American Literature and American History, Fine Arts, and Film. In 2008, he received the Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum Creative Teaching Award. Since his retirement in 2010, Clark and his wife Carol have traveled extensively throughout the United States doing research for both his book Calling on the Presidents: Tales Their Houses Tell and this current work Inspiration Points: Where Our Writers Wrote.
