Brian G. Angevine was Donald Ray Baird's first euphonium major student at Phillips University. He went on to teach music for several years before changing careers to other educational choices. His many endeavors pay tribute to Don Baird in proficiency and creativity. Angevine completed a Bachelor of Music Education at Phillips in 1966, a Master of Music Ed at Wichita State University in 1971 and a Ph. D. in Music Ed at the University of Kansas in 1985. He went on to teach gifted education for 25 years and is now a writer of fiction and nonfiction. An avid snow skier, trout fisherman and golfer, Angevine leads an active life.
