Laurie Carter started life as Laurie White in a small town in Ontario, Canada. After graduation from the University of Toronto, she entered the corporate world where she worked in human resources until 1991 when she moved to the Okanagan Valley of British Columbia. She writes travel stories for magazines, newspapers and the Internet and draws on her travel experiences to craft her Taylor Kerrick mystery novels.
