Nancy Carol James is a priest associate at St. John's, Lafayette Sq., Washington, DC. She has written ten books about Jeanne Guyon. Nancy Carol James has published 13 books by and about Madame Jeanne Guyon. Paul Haffner of the Pontifical Gregorian University writes, "Nancy James has become the key and leading expert on Guyon and her invitation to understand Guyon spirituality better is to be greatly welcomed and appreciated." In 2022 Fr. Thomas Kuffel and Nancy Carol James published The Ascent to God: Divine Theosis Revealed and Realized in the Teaching of John Paul II. The book's introduction was written by Bishop Chad Zeilinski, Bishop of New Ulm. The book received the imprimatur from Bishop Larry Silva of Honolulu.
"We owe Nancy James an enormous debt of gratitude for this
marvelous translation of the seventeenth-century spiritual writer
commonly known as Madame Guyon. Guyon's spirituality of passionate
quietude and simplicity, highly controverted and repeatedly
condemned during her life, needs a retrieval for our time of
feverish multitasking and incessant distraction, and no one is more
qualified to perform this task than Nancy James. May Guyon's
commentaries on Pauline writings continue to nourish our
souls!"
