Alina Niemi is an author, illustrator, artist, teacher, and dancer. She is still trying to develop recipes for an upcoming soup cookbook, but the weather has been warm recently, so she's making salads and appetizers instead. The last few years have found her (to her surprise) liking cilantro and dancing the hustle (not necessarily at the same time). She is the author of Low Water Veggie Gardening: How to Create a Drought-Resistant, Sustainable Vegetable Garden, Conserve Water, and Grow Your Own Food; The New Scoop: Recipes for Dairy-Free, Vegan Ice Cream in Unusual Flavors (Plus Some Old Favorites); and My Attitude of Gratitude Daily Journal: A Blank Gratitude Journal with Prompts to Help You Express Thankfulness and Appreciation. She has a series of children's books, including the Let's Count series, which helps preschool and toddler children learn to count with fun pictures of objects they will recognize around them.
