Katie Stagliano is the founder and chief executive gardener of Katie’s Krops, a nonprofit organization with the mission to establish vegetable gardens of all sizes with the harvests donated to help feed people in need, as well as to assist and inspire other young people to do the same. Katie is the youngest recipient of the Clinton Global Citizen Award for Leadership in Civil Society, presented to her by Matt Damon in 2012. She is also a Global Teen Leader for Three Dot Dash, a Hasbro Community Action Hero, a Build-A-Bear Huggable Hero, was named a top ten youth volunteer of 2014 by the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, and completed a three-year-term as a member of the Youth Advisory Board for the Alliance for a Healthier Generation.
